(Also known as pop shove-it flip and ‘varial kickflip’)
A 180-flip is a combination of the kickflip and the 180 shove-it. If you know how to do both of those tricks well, you should get the hang of this one pretty quickly. You have to position your feet as you would in a kickflip, except that your leading foot should be hanging off by about an inch. Pop the tail while scooping it around. As your board starts to shove-it, flick your front toes out and flip the board an it rotates. As you see the board spin back into position, catch it with your front foot first, when the board is flat in the air so that you can get your front foot back on. You should have both feet over the truck bolts, guiding the board back to the ground and keeping it level. This is one of those tricks that come differently to everyone. It might take you two days; it might take you two weeks… It’s a good place to start learning other kickflip variations.
